I don't know where to farm wire, but I can give you combat tips. Get a freeze weapon ASAP, my favorite is the Shadow War Bow, and when you're fighting dangerous machines freeze them first, they take 200% extra arrow damage when they're frozen, then you can spam triple shots of Hardpoint arrows with the Shadow Hunter Bow (with damage mods), the DPS is way better compared to the Sharpshot Bow.

But yeah, I agree with you, the tearblaster is really effective. I like to use the rattler for human enemies, but other than that it is useless.

Yeah, I’m not saying the Icerail is the best weapon in terms of pure DPS. There are certainly better options if that’s your only criterion. However, there isn’t a weapon that can one-shot with the accuracy of the Icerail, so it’s great for stealth.
