I own a Getz, which is the earlier version of the i20. Had it for 7 years. The petrol is underpowered in the 1.1, get the 1.4 or the 1.5 diesel preferably as its 30 quid a year road tax and gets 70mpg+. It's reliable as fuck , only breaks i've had with mine were garages being dickheads or my own stupidity. Done like 64k in it all over the country.

Hi guys, im planning to get a car a friend of Mine is selling. 2007 Hyundai Getz 1.1. Green Color. all original. no accidents. and when mechanic checked, no problems with engine or exterior or interiors. LTO and Insurance renewed just last month. with a free full tank of gas. and seems to be in excellent condition.
Itā€™s a pity because the Excel was generally a reliable and robust little car and didnā€™t deserve the reputation it got. But in recent times Hyundai cars have got better and better, to the point they are now quite well built. Hyundai at least is confident it has got it right in offering a five-year warranty with unlimited kilometres.
The Getz was replaced by the Hyundai i20 in 2012. As far as the most common problems with Hyundai Getz are concerned, there are quite a few issues worth discussing.
